The Visa Signature card is available in a number of different versions all emphasizing different rewards packages. The US Bank Visa Signature is among the most appealing of the bunch. With generous travel rewards incentives, comprehensive customer support, competitive pricing and great lifestyle extras, we’re pleased to include the US Bank Visa Signature card in our top ten best rewards credit cards.

Rewards features:   Excellent

The US Bank Visa Signature card features a point-based rewards system. Points can be redeemed for plane tickets, vacation packages and cruises. One of the nicest elements of the US Bank Visa Signature Travel Rewards program is the option to spend additional points to book travel on the fly rather than months in advance—the Signature Travel booking system requires you to book flights three weeks in advance for the best use of your points and only seven days in advance if you’re willing to spend a few more.

Seeing as how the Signature Rewards program doesn’t have a point earning cap, customers that make a lot of purchases on their credit cards will want to take a look at the US Bank Travel Rewards Visa Signature.

First time applicants will receive 2500 bonus points after the first US Bank Visa Signature Credit Card purchase.

APR:   Excellent

Provided that your credit is in decent standing, the US Bank Visa Signature card offers very competitive APR on standard purchases. That’s to say nothing of their introductory APR incentive—0% interest rate on standard purchases and balance transfers for the first year. After the twelve month introductory period passes, standard APR is 9.99%. Their 20.99% cash advance APR edges out a lot of the competition. As with all credit cards, don’t miss your payments on a US Bank Visa Signature balance, the APR raises to 28.99% on delinquent accounts.

Fees/charges:   Excellent

When so many other rewards cards offer similar benefits packages, the $75 annual fee for the US Bank Visa Signature is a distinct negative. Cash advances are even more punishing when you factor in the 4%/$10 fee US bank assesses for the service. Late payment and over limit fees run as high as $39.

Key features:   Excellent

We’re pleased to see that concierge services are becoming more and more common on rewards cards. The US Bank Travel Rewards Visa Signature provides assistance with dinner reservations, gift arrangements, ticket purchase and other common services. Frequent travelers will have some piece of mind with the knowledge that the US Bank Travel Rewards Visa Signature provides travel accident insurance, rental car insurance and zero liability fraud protection.

Member support:   Excellent

US Bank will replace lost and stolen cards within 48 hours of a request. In addition to free online account access and online bill pay, US Bank and Visa have staff on hand all day, every day, to help you sort out any issues that may arise.

Summary:

With the exception of the rather stiff annual fee, the US Bank Visa Signature is a rewards card ideally suited to a lifestyle that includes regular travel. With the concierge service, travel insurance and low interest rates, even the annual fee is a justifiable expense if you plan to take advantage of them. The US Bank  Visa Signature is a card we can easily suggest to our readers.
